Connected with IVA Studio, the D&B MCP Server brings trusted business intelligence into AI-powered procurement workflows, helping teams assess suppliers faster and with greater confidence.
Rotterdam, 2 November 2026 – Ivalua, the enterprise AI platform for procurement, and Altares Dun & Bradstreet are bringing trusted external business information directly into AI-powered procurement workflows. The collaboration helps procurement teams make faster, better-informed supplier decisions.
AI can speed up procurement decisions, but only when it works on reliable data combined with business context. The combination of Ivalua’s AI platform and Dun & Bradstreet’s business intelligence puts supplier insights inside the workflows where teams assess suppliers and risks and execute transactions.
Niels van Nieuwenhuijzen, Partnership Manager at Altares Dun & Bradstreet says: “Trusted business context helps procurement teams assess suppliers and risks with greater confidence. Bringing that intelligence into Ivalua’s workflows makes it available when decisions are made.”
Bringing supplier intelligence into AI-driven workflows
Supplier onboarding is the first use case. A user starts with a supplier’s name and country or, where configured, with information from an invoice.
Ivalua’s Intelligent Virtual Agent (IVA) retrieves relevant company information, guides the user through the workflow and proposes the next steps. The user reviews each action before completion.
The integration builds on the existing D&B Direct+ connector for Ivalua. Through the new D&B Model Context Protocol (MCP) Server, IVA, powered by IVA Studio, can retrieve the Direct+ Data Blocks included in a customer’s contract. While APIs continue to support established data exchanges and supplier data enrichment, MCP adds a conversational way for AI to retrieve relevant supplier information, provide greater context and explain underlying data when a user asks a business question.
The value goes beyond data access. Ivalua’s overview of the API and MCP approach shows comparable MCP-driven supplier processes have seen 70% to 96% less processing time for onboarding, screening and due diligence and up to 20 times more review capacity without extra headcount, with deployment in days or weeks rather than months.
Sandra Cikic, Technology Alliances Manager at Ivalua, says: “By connecting IVA Studio with Dun & Bradstreet’s business intelligence through MCP, we make trusted supplier information accessible and actionable within intelligent procurement workflows. Employees and agents can make better decisions based on real time information.”
Combining innovation with enterprise governance
The user stays in control: IVA presents a proposed plan and asks the user to approve key steps before completing an action, such as creating a supplier. Customers can access only the Direct+ Data Blocks data included in their D&B contract.
The integration is live, with customer testing underway. Potential future use cases include supplier risk monitoring, corporate relationship analysis, sourcing evaluations and negotiations.
