Aon, a global leader in credit insurance, and Altares Dun & Bradstreet announce a strategic partnership to give international companies greater control over their credit limits and risks. As of July 1, 2026, the PolicyManager platform will be enriched with integrated business data from Dun & Bradstreet. This will make credit insurance processes smarter, faster, and fully data-driven.
With PolicyManager, Aon offers a central digital solution for managing credit insurance policies, limits, and claims. Through integration with reliable data from Altares Dun & Bradstreet, such as DUNS numbers, credit scores, and payment behavior, the platform evolves from an administrative tool into a strategic decision-making instrument. This gives companies real-time insight into risks, strengthens compliance, and improves the substantiation of credit limits.
In a recent joint podcast Erwin van Geyte, Director of Broking, Marine & Specialties at Aon, explains which early warning signals can be used to mitigate the risks of global trade and how geopolitical tensions, such as those in the Middle East, affect the entire supply chain.
“The strength of PolicyManager lies in the combination of global coverage and a digital user experience. By integrating D&B data, we enable proactive risk management and better substantiation of credit limits,” says Els van Leeuwen, Digital Product Lead at Aon Netherlands. “This not only provides our clients with security, but also speed and scalability in their decision-making.” In a recent podcast Els van Leeuwen explains how data-driven credit insurance forms the foundation for international risk management.
Altares Dun & Bradstreet also sees great potential in this launch and the strong partnership. Niels van Nieuwenhuijzen, Partner Manager at Altares Dun & Bradstreet: “Our data is now being used in a platform that directly aligns with the core processes of credit insurers and their clients. This makes data-driven risk management concrete, scalable, and internationally applicable. This is more than a technical integration; it is a shared vision of the future of credit insurance.”
The joint solution targets internationally operating medium-sized and large enterprises in sectors such as manufacturing, trade, logistics, construction, and commodities. These companies often manage complex portfolios with multiple insurers, countries, and policies. PolicyManager, enriched with data from Altares Dun & Bradstreet, provides them with centralized oversight, automated alerts, and reliable insights for more efficient operations and better credit decisions.
