Recently, we announced that Altares Dun & Bradstreet has officially become a service provider for the Chamber of Commerce (KVK). This renewed partnership emphasizes the importance of privacy for registered entrepreneurs and strengthens legal certainty. However, there are more changes that this collaboration brings. We are happy to explain them to you.
Background
You become a service provider of the KVK specifically for the products and data of the Chamber of Commerce. To be officially recognized as a service provider, an organization must meet strict conditions in terms of privacy and legal certainty. The KVK has a special service provider page where all recognized partners can be found.
Like other service providers, we do not have access to all data. Certain information is protected and cannot be shared by the KVK, even with a service provider. This includes sensitive personal data or private information of, for example, directors or shareholders. However, as a service provider, we now have access to more data than before, and this data is also much more current. We now receive all changes in real-time from the trade register, enabling us to always provide the most up-to-date information.
In addition, we now also have access to more data about certain legal forms of governance, such as associations, foundations, and partnerships (VOFs). Previously, obtaining detailed governance information for these legal forms was challenging, but thanks to our agreement, we now have access to this crucial information
Benefits
Altares Dun & Bradstreet has been investing heavily in its data collection for years and possesses the most extensive data collection. The KVK is one of many data sources. Extensive access to KVK data allows us to further enhance our own products. This results in even greater coverage, accuracy, and timeliness of our data. Our well-known DUNS-number can now be linked to even more information about the correct entity.

For customers, this means that they can now consolidate both their Chamber of Commerce extracts and their other business data inquiries with one party. This integration provides a convenient solution, allowing all (inter)national data inquiries to be directed to us.
Conclusion
Being a KVK service provider offers us the opportunity to better serve our customers. More data, up-to-date information, and improved service are the direct benefits of this collaboration. Through this agreement, we can further enhance the quality of our services and provide our customers with the most comprehensive and up-to-date business information.
